LittleIpsum App Reviews

I’ve been using this app happily for a good deal of time, but am considering uninstalling it at this point due to the new version collecting “anonymous usage metrics” with no way to opt out and no clear description of what is being collected and how it will be used/shared. Perhaps it is most unsettling since this app is so simple it’s hard to understand what legitimate purpose that data collection could have. To the developer, please remove the data collection or make it optional, and I will gladly change my review. Perhaps sharing a few sentences about how you plan to use the data to improve the experience will help.

This help me alot to making a text holder for my UIX :D.

This app is so awesome. I thank the dev’s and the co worker who introduced me. So nice to be able to just grab some ipsum to paste in while testing code. I would always have to do a google search then copy lines. Didn’t take that long but when you do it several times a day it adds up.

This app is constantly sending something back to the developer. Not cool. Uninstalling.

This is a great little app. It sits in the tray and gives me as much (or as little) Lorem Ipsum as I want. Collect my anonymous data. I give it to you freely - because you give me this great little app freely. Thanks Developers. Maecenas faucibus mollis interdum. See, five sentances in dropped in in 3 seconds. Designers best friend.

I love this app, and use it all the time as my go-to lorem ipsum generator. Sends a new random string of words every time so your placeholder text will be far more accurate. And free? Almost too good to be true. Thank you Dustin Senos (and anyone else on the Little Ipsum team)!
